Companion Pets Unlock Guide

A complete route for unlocking free pets, choosing when to farm them, avoiding tempo loss, and prioritizing passive bonuses.

Goal

Use this guide when planning pet unlocks. Pets are long-term account bonuses, and their passive effects are active once unlocked. You do not need to equip a pet for its passive bonus to matter.

Pet Farming Rule

Do not farm a pet just because the pet is good. Farm it when the stage is comfortable.

A good pet farm stage should:

Spawn the target monster often enough.
Be safe for long sessions.
Kill targets quickly.
Still give acceptable EXP, gold, chests, or account value.

If farming the pet destroys your main progression tempo, come back later.

Recommended Unlock Order

OrderPetRequirementMain valueTiming
1BatDefeat 5,000 BatsCommon Chests and EXPFarm early once Stage 1-7 or nearby stages are comfortable.
2Dark SpiritDefeat 5,000 GhostsStage Boss Chest valueFarm when Act 3 stages are stable.
3WatcherDefeat 5,000 Giant FliesGold per KillFarm when Act 2 stages are stable.
4Burning SkeletonDefeat 5,000 Fire ElementalsStage Boss Chest valueDelay if Normal spawn rate is too slow.
5Blue GolemDefeat 5,000 Hell GolemsCommon Chest valueDelay until kill speed and spawn rate are reasonable.

The order is a practical tempo route. If one stage is uncomfortable, skip it temporarily and return later.

Bat

Bat is usually the first target because EXP and Common Chest bonuses improve the rest of the account.

Farm Bat when:

Stage 1-7 or 1-8 is stable.
The team can run for a long time without wiping.
The expected time does not block your main progression too much.

If Bat takes several hours but the stage is stable, it can still be worth doing because the bonus helps future farming.

Dark Spirit

Dark Spirit supports boss chest farming. It becomes more attractive once you are farming Act 3 stages and starting to care about stage boss chest value.

Farm it when Ghost stages are stable and your team can clear without constant manual attention.

Watcher

Watcher improves gold income. Gold affects Rune Tree purchases, Cube progress, market upgrades, and long-term account speed.

Farm it when the Giant Fly stage is comfortable and you are not sacrificing too much EXP or chest income.

Burning Skeleton

Burning Skeleton is valuable, but it can be inefficient too early if spawn rates and kill speed are poor. If the Normal farm feels extremely slow, delay it until harder difficulties or better gear make the farm faster.

Blue Golem

Blue Golem helps Common Chest income, but like Burning Skeleton it may be better later if the farm is too slow on Normal.

Premium Pets

Premium DLC pets are optional. Treat them as convenience and tempo bonuses, not mandatory progression.

When To Stop A Pet Farm

Stop or postpone a pet farm if:

Your main team is no longer leveling meaningfully.
Chest and gold income collapse.
The stage wipes too often.
The target monster spawn rate is too low.
You would gain more by improving gear, Cube, or runes first.

Checklist

One pet target is selected.
Target stage is comfortable.
Farm does not destroy account tempo.
Bat is prioritized early if Stage 1-7/1-8 is stable.
Burning Skeleton and Blue Golem are delayed if Normal farming is too slow.
Next target starts only after the current farm is worth continuing.
